Technology and Peer Conferencing on Student Writing Performance

How will the implementation of my writers workshop using technology, peer conferencing improve my 4th grade students writing?

Summary
As a fourth grade teacher, I fused technology and writing in the form of responding electronically as a vehicle of communication between myself and the students. The classroom website I created allowed me, not only to motivate my students, but to provide another way to help them improve their writing skills.  The students responded via my Web site to a variety of writing prompts that enabled them to work independently and at their own pace. The goal of the program was to embed technology in the classroom and to see how this would improve their writing and help them become effective communicators of their own knowledge.
